Hearts a Flutter

Hearts a Flutter 003Oh…if you are viewing this Monday night…you are not going to be able to find out for sure who the 2nd Guest Designer is for Create with Connie and Mary Spring Edition until after 3:05 am Monday!  But…since I saw the CAS challenge early this evening, I thought I’d go ahead and post my card tonight before heading to bed.

Now…here is a hint about our 2nd Guest Design…we get ‘dirty’ together once a month for the past 5 months!  Can you figure out who that is?  Oh…I just love her work!

Now a little about my card…what a quick and easy one!  The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  Because I wanted the chevron to go in a horizontal direction, I took another piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Chevron Folder than added to the card front.  Next I took still another piece of Whisper White and using my ‘window pane’ technique, punch 4 ‘postage stamps’ (which is the CAS challenge this week!).  Not sure the way to get your punched out frame all lined up?  Click on my tutorial tab above and check it out!  Next I layered this on another piece of Whisper White and added the wavy banners (from the Bitty Banner Framelits) in Not Quite Navy, Real Red, Primrose Petals and Pool Party. I added this to the card front.  Next I stamped the hearts in the same 4 colors and cut out using the Hearts a Flutter Framelits.  I stamped the Love (from the Ciao, Baby! set) in Not Quite Navy on the Pool Party heart.  The hearts are added using dimensionals.  Finally I added a little bling with the rhinestones.

  1. Thanks for sharing the window pane technique. It’s great! We’ll be making a card using this design at Club on Wednesday night. Again, many thanks!
