First…before I get started…my DH and I found that our websites had been hacked last night. Rand immediately shut them down for a couple of hours. If you tried to access us from a MOBILE APP only, I apologize for what you saw. This has now been corrected and Rand is taking steps to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
So…now for the good stuff! Today is the first day of our Create with Connie and Mary Spring Edition 2013 Guest Designer introductions and our Early Bird Special!
Today I wanted to do a fun card for you all but was in a bit of a creative SLUMP! So I was looking around at some of my favorite designer and was inspired by the person who is our FIRST Guest Designer and what she posted today! Hmmm…can you figure out who that might be? I combine the inspiration from her card with The Friday Mashup sketch!
A little about my card…the base of the card is Crumb Cake and I used the Argyle Embossing Folder on it. Next I added a banner made from a print in the Parker’s Pattern dsp pack. The shoe (from Dapper Dad) is paper pieced. The main shoe is stamped in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake. The blue parts are Early Espresso on Not Quite Navy and the sole is Early Espresso on Soft Suede. This is added to a piece of Very Vanilla layered onto Soft Sued then to the card front using dimensionals. The shoe is added using dimensionals. Dad is stamped in Early Espresso on Marina Mist, cut into a banner and added using dimensionals. Now for that fun embellishment…the base is actually the large Silver Basics Designer Buttons. I stamped the #1 from Ciao, Baby! in Early Espresso on Marina Mist and Very Vanilla. The base is punched with 7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and the center with the 1/2″ circle punch.
