WOOOO HOOOO!!!! And it has begun…PREVIEW WEEK for Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collection 2013! And let me say…it is beginning and to look a lot like Christmas!
Yesterday we announced our Guest Designers for this collection and we are so excited they will be joining us! And today…I’m sharing the first Preview Week Project! (oh…and some BLOG CANDY TOO!!!)
I LOVE designing and making gift card holders. With giving more and more gift cards I want to package them up with a little something that I made. I had decided that I was going to make a set a gift card holders for you all for Preview Week and started creating. And then I just got stuck! My deadline was looming and one partial one was just sitting their and going nowhere fast! So what do you do when you are stuck on ideas? Well for me it’s off to Pinterest and Google Images! First came the stocking cap. The front panel flips down and is tucked behind the HO3. I just couldn’t resist making a Christmas Tree/Snowman combo to go with our Winter Collection logo! Where’s the gift card? Well lift up on the tree trunk and it is in a little holder behind it. My husband’s favorite is Santa. This is a new take on an old classic. Pull up on his hat and the gift card is there.
Here’s some individual shots of the gift card holders…
So…would you like the step-by-step directions for making each of these? Then head on over to Create with Connie and Mary and you find a tutorial for each of these!
Oh…I mentioned BLOG CANDY didn’t I? Yep…it is true! I will be giving away a FREE subscription to Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Collection 2013! Leave me a comment today MONDAY, 10/14/13 and your name is entered into my drawing! We are giving away a lot of FREE Subscriptions this week so stop back EVERY DAY!

Thank you for these fab ideas for gift card holders – love them – so clever! Will definitely have a go at making them myself in time for Christmas giving! I might even use the Santa face on it’s own with a scallop circle backing as my Christmas tree chocolates this year with a chocolate coin sandwiched inbetween the front and back layers!, with a little baker’s twine hanging loop snailed on! Thank you for the inspiration! :O) Lucy from the UK! x
