Welcome to the March Tour de Freaks where we are celebrating SPRING and Easter. If you are going forward through the hop you have arrived here from Patty Bennett’s Patty’s Stamping Spot blog. Weren’t those projects just WONDERFUL!
Oh…I don’t know about you but I am SOOOO ready for SPRING!!! This has been some winter and maybe…just maybe we are done with snow in this neck of the woods. A girl sure can hope!
I decided for my project to do a little ‘hybrid’ work…using My Digital Studio along with stamps and ink to create my projects. I haven’t done that in a while. For my projects I did the ‘think SPRING’ using My Digital Studio, printed out on Whisper White and then went to work from there. I stamped the stem in Versamark and embossed using Wild Wasabi Embossing Powder, I did the flowers in Strawberry Slush and then one is added using dimensionals. This panel is layered onto Wild Wasabi, I added a Smoky Slate Chevron Ribbon ‘tab’. I did a Strawberry Slush panel through the Fancy Fan Embossing folder, added to a Strawberry Slush card base then added the think SPRING panel using dimensionals. I added some Basic Rhinestones to finish it off.
Back for our Halloween hop last year, I did a little mini memory box just like this only it was black. I bought that and this white one last year at Michael’s but I’m sure you can find it on the Internet. I hadn’t done anything using this white one so out it came for SPRING!
The top panel is Strawberry Slush dsp. I made the panel the same as I did for the card above only put on one flower instead of two. The flowers on the bottom are all stamped in Strawberry Slush. The leaves are the bird wings from the 2-step bird punch and the leaves/branch from that punch. They are in Wild Wasabi. Each flower is layered onto a Label Punch Smoky Slate piece then added to the little window. Because of the depth of each of the ‘windows’ there is a lot of dimensionals popping things up! I made a bow out of Pear Pizzazz Chevron Ribbon and a Boutique Detail and added using glue dots. Basic Rhinestones are added to finish it off.
I hope you are feeling a little ‘springy’ now! And if you are ‘hop’ on over to Cindy Elam’s Heart’s Delight Cards blog and get ready for more fun!
Look at you GO!! I am SOOO in LOVE with your “Think Spring” sentiment … PERFECT with those flowers! Happy that you could use it in the Memory Box, too!! Very nice! 🙂

Way to go! Love the card, I have to try printing with MDS. The Memory Box is amazing! Fantastic projects! 🙂
What a happy, hopeful card and shadow box! Love the hybrid idea using MDS and stamps. (Note to self: dust off the MDS!)
I just love your Spring projects using the flower and stem as the ‘I’. And the color choices are fabulous!
Oooh I like the flower image for the “I” in spring, so clever and you did great with MDS as both projects scream SPRING!
Love your “think spring” card and frame – fabulous! And it cannot come too fast!
Happy Spring! LOVE MDS Hybrids projects! Awesome job!
