Tour de Freaks – January

freakwelcome2013Welcome everyone to the January Tour de Freaks Blog Hop!  This month you will be feeling the ‘love’ in the air!  With Valentines day right around the corner I couldn’t resist joining the fun!

If you are going forward through the hop, you arrived here from Melissa Davies Rubberfunactics blog!  She has just such a fun style!  LOVE it!

Check out what I did…

CFCardSo many fun new things!  The base of the card is Real Red.  I took another strip of Real Red and ran it through the Happy Heart embossing folder and added to the right side.  Next I took the Black/little heart print from the Stacked with Love paper stack, added a Whisper White strip to the left and punched another piece of Whisper White with the Scallop Edge punch added to the right side.  I add this panel to the card front using dimensionals.  Next was the largest Chalk Talk framelit, stamped greeting (from the Feb Paper Pumpkin kit), made a bow using the new bow punch and Stacked with Love dsp and added to it.  I punched out a Real Red heart, then added some Stacked with Love Washi Tape to Whisper White, punched with the heart punch and add the two hearts using dimensionals.  Add some Basic Rhinestones then added tag to card front using dimensionals…how cool!

CFFrameAnd now for my fun 3D item.  I was roaming around Pinterest looking for some inspiration and came across this cute ‘money’ wreath.  I though how cute that would be as a frame.  Since we can’t add additional links to our post, just go to pinterest and search for Money Wreath and you will find it.  Just a note…I used 1 1/4 x 6 strips to make mine.  I did a 5 x 5 piece of Real Red then a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 piece of the Stacked with Love Black/white heart print. My wreath was made using the Typeset Specialty dsp in the main catalog.  It is decorate with Real Red Basic Black, Heart print and washi tape on Very Vanilla and Red Glimmer hearts.  The bow is made with the cool bow punch and add to the wreath.  Basic Rhinestones were added to hearts, center of the bow, and frame to finish it off.

And here’s my projects together…
