Summertime

and the livin’ is easy.  Fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high.  Oh..sorry…got carried away there for a moment!  The theme though for the LAST SUO Challenge in May is Summertime. This time we are doing something a little different with the challenge – we are showcasing so me of our loyal participants as guest designers!  But I decided to play along too!

Just a few quick notes on this.  The base of the card is Whisper White with the bottom left corner rounded.  I took another panel of Whisper White, rounded bottom left corner and ran the top part through the polka dotted embossing folder.  Next I took a piece of Pretty in Pink, stamped the creating in Early Espresso, and added to the panel.  I made a ‘bow’ (click on the tutorial tab above) using Melon Mambo 1 1/4″ Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and a green rhinestone brad, added to the panel then added the panel to the card front using dimensionals.  I did the watermelons using Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade and the ‘seeds’ or from the flower triple layer punch…you know those little pieces you just throw away…PERFECT watermelon seeds!  These are added to the card front to finish it off.
