Summer Silhouettes

Happy Monday everyone!  Going to be quite a chilly week here in Ohio.  When I checked out the CAS challenge on SCS this morning I saw a beautiful fall inspiration photo.  I took the colors and the ‘leaves’ as my inspiration.

The base of the card is Very Vanilla.  I took another piece of Very Vanilla, used a mask a created from the Autumn Accents Die and sponged More Mustard, Tangerine Tango and Island Indigo.  Then I removed the mask and stamped the leaf image from Summer Silhouettes and the greeting from Just Believe in Early Espresso.  Next I added an Island Indigo Scallop edge and added to the card front using dimensionals.  To finish it off, I added some Basic Pearls to the leave.

Set(s): Summer Silhouettes, Just Believe
Paper: Very Vanilla, Island Indigo
Ink: Early Espresso, More Mustard, Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo
Other: Autumn Accents Die, Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

    Hi Mary!

I just LOVE your work & this card is no exception! Simply stunning! Would you mind sharing how you created your mask using the Autumn Accents die? I’m struggling because I want there to be a lot of space around the mask so that my sponging doesn’t get on my card but since this is a multi-cut die I’m having a lot of that space cut off! Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? It took me three tries to get a sponged leaf without traces of the ink on my paper!

Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us!

    Hugs,
    Christine aka The Stampin’ Ninja
