Starfruit Sunflowers

Today is another FABULOUS color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary.  We just love color challenges and this one was FUN and perfect for sunflowers!

Aren’t these colors just GREAT?  I think so too!  I will have to tell you though…I made the whole card then realized that I had used Daffodil Delight instead of Summer Starfruit.  So I had to rip it apart and redo it with the right color!  LOL!!!  I HATE when that happens!

So now the base of the card is Summer Starfruit.  I took another piece of the Summer Starfruit and ran it through the woodgrain embossing folder then added to the card base.  I took a piece of dotted Gumbal and added a Chocolate Chip scallop edge underneath then add to the card front.  I did the long label from the Apothecary Accents Framelits in Very Vanilla, added some brown brads to each end and added to the card front using dimensionals.  I did the sunflowers with the largest flower from the Boho Blossom Punch, then cut between the petals, added a 1/2” Chocolate Chip circle in the middle and the middle flower in Gumball Green for the leaves.  I ran the Chocolate Chip circles through the Fancy Fan Folder for a little more dimension.  The flowers were added using dimensionals and I finished it off by adding pearls.  To do the greeting, we don’t have any ivory embossing powder so I embossed the greeting in clear on Very Vanilla then sponged over it in Chocolate Chip.  I cut it out using the Bitty Banners Framelit and attached using dimensionals.
