Snowflake Soiree

WOW…we have come to the end of our VERY FIRST EDITION of Create with Connie and Mary Card “Create”tions!  We’d like to thank all of the wonderful people who joined us for this fun edition and a HUGE THANKS to our FANTASTIC designers – Elizabeth Price, Debbie Henderson, and Deb Currier!  You ladies are wonderful!

As in the past two weeks, the cards we share can only be seen if you are a subscriber but on Saturdays we share a small favor that goes along with the set we used for our cards.  I used Snowflake Soiree…I just LOVE snowflakes!  And here is my quick and easy favor.

The base if the Fancy Favor die.  I just LOVE this die…such a nice size!  I decided to use a ‘topper’ for my favor so took a piece of vellum cardstock and embossed the larger snowflake in white on one side, TURNED IT OVER and embossed the smaller snowflake in silver on the other side…oh…such a cool look!  I then cut it our using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  I wrapped this over the top of the box (it is shorter on the back than on the front) and secured at the top using Silver Brads.  Next I stamped Merry using Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White, cut out with an Apothecary Accents framelit, added a Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White Snowflake (with a 3/4” Silver Glimmer circle) behind the tag, layered onto a Silver Glimmer strip and added to the topper to finish it off.

Set(s): Snowflake Soiree
Paper: Whisper White, Cherry Cobber, Silver Glimmer
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Versamark
Other: Fancy Favor XL Die, Apothecary Accent Framelits, Snow Flurry Die, 3/4″ Circle Punch, White Embossing Powder, Silver Embossing Powder, Silver Brads, Dimensionals

So check out what the design team did this week and if you are looking for some TERRIFIC card ideas for Christmas and Winter, it’s not too late to subscribe to Create with Connie and Mary Card “Create”tions.
