Season of Friendship

I have to admit I decided to take a little ‘creative license’ with Mary Jo’s sketch this week.  This is again one of those cards where it looks like it is an odd size but in reality it is a regular 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 size card.  I love the look of banners hanging over the edge of the card to create that illusion.

So besides being on a quest to use this set as much as I can, I am also trying to use as much of my dsp from the main catalog as I can.  I LOVE the hostess dsp – it is so fun and cheering and perfect for a get well card!  The base of the card is Pink Pirouette 5 1/2 x 3 1/2.  I then cut three strips of the dsp, made them into ‘banners’ and added them to the card front.  I stamped the tree using Early Espresso on Whisper White, stamped the leaves using Lucky Limeade, then stamped more leaves, cut them out and added them using glue dots.  I punched out the flowers using the Itty Bitty Flower Punch from Melon Mambo and Concord Crush and added to the tree using the Silver Mini Brads.  I stamped the greeting using Concord Crush then added the panel to the card front using dimensionals.
