Rain or Shine

Jan Thurs Create 008WOW…we will soon be finishing up our FANTASTIC Preview Week for Create with Connie and Mary and when the preview is over, so is our Early Bird Special…so make sure you sign up today!

But for today we have the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! And today is a GREAT sketch challenge for you!  I just LOVE the umbrellas in the Rain or Shine set…you can make such happy cards with them and that is what I did today.

The base of the card is Daffodil Delight.  I took a piece of the umbrella dsp from the Sunshine and Sprinkles dsp pack.  I punch a half circle in the top of the card so that I could add some Melon Mambo polka dotted scallop ribbon.  I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the greeting using the Pacific Point and Melon Mambo.  I did the top of the umbrella in Melon Mambo and the handle in Basic Black, cut them out and added using dimensionals.  The panel was then added to the card front using dimensionals.  I added some Basic Rhinestones for some ‘raindrops’.

Set(s): Rain or Shine
Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point
Ink: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point
Other: Melon Mambo Scallop Polka Dotted Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

  1. Love the bright fun colors of your card! Those umbrellas are so adorable! And the rhinestones are a great way to make raindrops! Love it!

  2. very nice, but how did you cut out the umbrella so neatly, i am dissappointed there isnt a die to cut it out just like the whale one….
