Pursuit of Happiness

CAS Circles 1I LOVE CAS (clean and simple).  Although in many ways clean and simple, by definition is just that (clean and simple) it doesn’t always mean that you can throw it together in a couple minutes and it works.  Although…sometimes it does work like that.

This fortunately was one that once I got my idea, it went together pretty easily!  I made this for the CASology challenge of ‘circles’.  WOW…just how many different ways can you can you interpret that?  So…I went REALLY simple!

The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White and pierced a circle on it (circle 1).  This is added to the card front using dimensionals.  Next I stamped the greeting using Basic Black.  Do you have a ‘go to’ color combo?  This is one of mine when I want REALLY bright and happy…Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Pacific Point.  I chose this flower punch because to me the finished flowers are…you got it…CIRCLES!!!  In the center of each flower is a silver brad…still another circle.  I added these to the card front using glue dots and dimensionals.

So…that’s my VERY simple CAS ‘circles’ card!

  2. Love your paper pierced circle and the colours you chose for your flowers – I would not have thought to ‘swap’ yellow for orange, but the impact is huge – a much more sophisticated, rather than primary look. Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week!
