Printed Petals

You know…inspiration is just everywhere!  I wanted to do a card to post on my blog today but have been in a creative funk lately.  I was paging through Stamp It! cards and found the perfect inspiration by Julia Stainton.

If you have that edition (on display until 9/19/11) it is on pa 138.  As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be perfect as a SUO (Stampin’ Up! Only) card.  I did make some changes but kept the overall color and layout the same.  The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Whisper White.  I stamped the large scallop image using Lucky Limeade and the 6 petal flower using Melon Mambo.  I stamped the greeting using Basic Black.  This is layered onto a piece of Whisper White using dimensionals and then to the card front also using dimensionals.  Julia’s card was a single layer but I like to ‘dress’ mine up some using white on white layers.  I finished it off with some Basic Rhinestones.

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
