Perfecty Preserved

I love black and red paired up with a neutral…in this case the Sahara Sand.  As I was looking at the colors I wanted to do something just a little different with it and that is where I started looking through my Holiday Mini and thought….hmmm…those would be some good colors for an apple!  No really… I did think that!  So let’s take a look at all the fun stuff I used on this…

The base of the card is Real Red 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.  I took a piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Stripes Embossing Folder, layered onto Basic Black.  I ran a piece of Sahara Sand through the Finishing Touches Lace Edgelit, added a piece of Basic Black behind it and added to the panel,  wrapped a piece of Real Red 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain around it, then added this to the panel.  The panel is added to the card front using dimensionals.  I used the Window Framelits on a piece of Whisper White, then used the Festive Paper Piercing pack to pierce around the inside.  This is added to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the apple using Real Red and Basic Black, used the Cannery Set to cut out, then did the stem in Sahara Sand and used the Cannery Framelits to cut that out to.  I added those to the card front using dimensionals.  Finally I stamped the greeting using Basic Black and Real Red on Sahara Sand, cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelit and added this to the card front.
