It’s Thursday and you know what that means…it’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge and this week…oh…what a FUN sketch challenge we have for you!

Okay…so as always there’s a story to go with this. This is actually my second card for the challenge. I had spent a weekend working on cards for challenges and made a card for this sketch. It wasn’t that there was anything wrong with it, I just wasn’t super happy with it (don’t worry…will share it another time) so decided to make another card for the challenge. Now THIS is a HAPPY card!

Here’s the details…

Whisper White THICK – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
It’s My Party dsp – black print – 1 1/2 x 4 1/4, add to bottom of card
It’s My Party dsp – Melon/star print – 3 x 4 1/4, add to top of card
Whisper White – 2 x 5, lay on card front and trim to fit, now stamp happy birthday using Melon Mambo and Basic Black markers, stamp to you multiple time using Melon Mambo, add some ‘strings’ from Balloon Builders (or just draw on) using Basic Black.
Add strip of Silver glimmer washi tape (SAB), add panel to card front.
Punch large balloon from Basic Black, Melon Mambo and Silver Glimmer, use white gel pen to add details to Basic Black and Melon Mambo balloons, layer and add using dimensionals, stamp another string, cut out, add behind black balloon.

Love the glitz and glamour of your card this week Mary – the silver glimmer against the pink, black and white is so sparkly! This card would be great for a young teenager too – very trendy.
