I’ve been seeing these fun ‘suns’ all around the Internet and when I saw the sketch for this week’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge I just KNEW that the sun was the perfect element for it.
I just finished up working on my card set for Week 3 of Create with Connie and Mary Spring Collection 2014 and had been using the Celebrations Bermuda Add-On Accessory Kit and had some leftovers. Since these were sitting ‘on the top of my desk’ when I sat down to work on this, it came together so quickly.
Here’s the details…
Crushed Curry – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 folded
Whisper White – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 layered on Bermuda Bay 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 and add to card front using dimensionals
Sun – Crushed Curry 1 3/4″ Circle and two prints from the Celebrations Bermuda Add-On Kit punched with the SAB Banner Punch – 6 of each of the 2 prints. Add behind the circle and add to the card front using dimensionals.
Stamp the greeting (Peachy Keen) using Bermuda Bay and Basic Black ink on Whisper White 7/8 x 2 3/4. Punch ends using the Artisan Label Punch. Add to card front using dimensionals.
Instead of the flags along the bottom of the greeting, I added the largest of the Basic Rhinestones under the banner and added some small rhinestones on the sun to finish it off.
See…I sort of followed it. You know…that is problem I seem to have with sketches. But I do love the way my card turned out. Don’t forget to check out the other members of the team and remember go to the Technostamper blog to play along!
