Peace on Earth

Okay…I just LOVE banners on a card and when I saw the sketch for CAS196 this week, well…it was a ‘no brainer’ to play along.  I think it did get ‘away’ from me a bit and is a little more than simple but I do think the clean look is definitely there.  I do love snowflakes and that is what I featured in my cards this week in the Create with Connie and Mary Card “Create”tions.  If you don’t know what that is, check out below.

I love the look of Pool Party, Whisper White and Silver Glimmer together so I couldn’t wait to play.  The base of the card is Whisper White.  I took another piece of Whisper White and stamped the greeting using Pool Party and Basic Grey.  I started with the silver glimmer banner and next was the Pool Party Polka Dotted banner.  I took another piece of Pool Party, inked one of the Delicate Designs Embossing folder with Pool Party and ran the banner through that and added to the card front.  Finally it was a piece of Whisper White that was put through the Lacey Brocade Embossing folder and added.  I added a Silver Glimmer snowflake, wrapped some Whisper White/Pool Party Baker’s Twine around it and finished that off by tying on a Vintage Faceted Button.  This panel is added to the card front using dimensionals.
