I am so excited to be one of the alumni designers for the CAS challenge on SCS today! Our theme is ‘stitching or faux stitching’. As you can see…I decided to go with the stitching theme so I pulled out my little sewing machine, added some gold thread and got down to business! This is also for the CAS-ual Friday challenge to use embossing.
Super simple card…
Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 folded
Another piece of Whisper white 3 5/8 x 3 5/8, stitched with gold thread, emboss Peace on Earth (Calm Christmas) in gold.
Gold Foil – 3 3/4 x 3 3/4. NOTE: I cut out the center of this as this is more expensive paper and I can use the cut out piece for other things.
Layer Whisper White piece on Gold Foil piece and add to card front using dimensionals.
Star Merry Mini Punch – 2 gold foil, 1 champagne glimmer and add to card front to finish off!
Well…since I had my sewing machine out anyway, I decided to go ahead and make another card…

Stamp JOY in versamark, gold emboss, cut out and layer using glue dots. Add to card front using dimensionals. Tie bows out of white baker’s twine and add to each side.
Punch out a BUNCH of 1/8″ gold foil circles and add to card front using glue.
Not sure how SIMPLE this second was is but still a clean look!
