Flower Shop

CCMC258See…I told you that you would be seeing more of this fun Flower Shop set!  It’s Thursday so time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday challenge and this week it is bright and happy color combo!

This is one of the quick and easy cards!  The base of the card is Daffodil delight.  I took a piece of Whisper White, layered onto Night of Navy and added to the card base.  Next I punched a 2 1/2″ half circle from the new Daffodil Delight dsp (Brights dsp paper pack) and added to the card.  I took a strip of Melon Mambo, stamped my friend from the Six Sided Sampler set, cut into a banner and added to the card front.  Next I stamped the loopy flower using the new style Daffodil Delight pad and quickly covered in Clear Embossing Powder and embossed it.  I love with the new style pads if you move quickly you can emboss with them!  I punched with the Pansy Punch then punch another flower from Night of Navy.  I used two of the petals behind the flower as ‘leaves’.  Next I took a NEW Melon Mambo button and added it to the center of the flower using White Baker’s Twine.  I added the flower to the card front using dimensionals.

  1. Awesome card, Mary! I love how you kept it simple with the the colors and layout. I didn’t realize you can emboss (quickly) with the new stamp pads. Yet another reason to buy them!
