Festive Flurry

Welcome to the SUO challenge!  And what a great challenge we have for this time of year…last minute card and gift ideas.  I don’t know about you…but I know I sure could use some last minute ideas…well considering I haven’t even STARTED my Christmas cards yet…EEK!!!

So check out the SUO Design Team to see what they came up with.  I decided to show BOTH a last minute card and matching gift idea.  Honestly…this was a card we did for my World Card Making Day event and since I hadn’t shared it yet and it is a VERY simple card, I decided to use it for the challenge.

Here’s the details…

• Whisper White – 4 1/4 x 11 folded
• Pool Party Snowflake Print – 4 x 5 1/4, add to card front
• Shimmery White – 2 1/4 x 4 3/4, stamp greeting using Versamark and Silver Emboss.  Cut out the smallest Festive Flurry framelit.  Round the bottom corners.
• Add Silver 1/8″ Ribbon to top then add to card front using dimensionals.
• Add Frosted Embellishment to center of cut out snowflake

I’ve had these little frames sitting around my house FOREVER!!!  I got them at Target and they came 3 in a pack for $2.50.  The inside opening on the frame is 3 1/2 x 3 1/2.  You really can’t beat that.  I bought them in both white and black and have used them for so many different projects over the years.  It was perfect for a little snowflake frame to go along with the card.  This would not only make a nice Christmas gift but it could be used as a decoration all through the Winter.

Here’s the details:

• Shimmery White – 4 x 4
• Pool Party Snowflake print – cut out 2nd to largest snowflake.  Add this panel to the Shimmery White piece using dimensionals.
• Cut out the 2nd to smallest snowflake from the Silver Glimmer paper.  Add to panel using double dimensionals.
• Stamp smallest snowflake using Versamark, emboss using Pool Party embossing powder, cut out with the smallest snowflake framelit, add to panel using dimensionals.
• Add Frosted Embellishment to center of snowflake to finish it off and add panel to frame.
