Feel Goods

DSC00576This week the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge is a fun and simple Sketch Challenge.  I’ve been playing around with the Swallowtail stamp.  I have to say, when I saw the stamp in the mini…did NOT like it!  Now that I’ve been playing with it a bit…LOVE IT!!!  I was soooo happy with this card!

The base of the card is Natural Cream.  I stamped the Swallowtail using Crumb Cake, added a piece of the flower print from Tea for Two dsp than a piece of the Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon.  I inked the greeting from Feel Goods using Old Olive and Primrose Petals and stamped on the card front.  I stamped the leaves from the Oh Hello flower using Old Olive, cut out and added to the top.  Finally I took 3 of the Vanilla Flower Trim, colored the tops using Primrose Petal then added to the card front to finish it off.  This really isn’t my usual style but I must say…LOVE IT!!!

conmarspring13promoIt’s week 4 of Create with Connie and Mary Spring Edition 2013 and this week we are using the ‘nature’ inspired sets in the mini…yep that’s why I used the Swallowtail!  For $34.95 you will have access to 30 FABULOUS projects each for a full downloadable tutorial!  Needing ideas for the products in the Spring Mini?  Yep…that’s what we are all about!

  1. Mary this card is absolutely beautiful it deserves a Blue Ribbon!!! You are so creative. I don’t know how you come up with pulling everything together to create such wonderful cards.

  2. For something that’s not your style Mary, you’ve made it look completely perfect! I must say I don’t have the Swallowtail stamp as I didn’t think I would use it, but I love how you’ve used it in the background. The colours of your card are so soft and gorgeous – I just love this card!!!

  3. This may not be your usual style but you have made a stunning card. I love the muted hues with the Primrose Petals. Just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. I’m an avid reader/visitor of your blog 🙂
