Elementary Elegance

Happy Monday everyone!  Hope you all are adjusting to the time change.  I LOVE it being light later in the day but I have such a tough time adjusting to this one!  To help you along…I have a happy flower to help you celebrate spring for Mary Jo’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime sketch challenge!

You can see this is just a great simple sketch.  I decided to approach the challenge with the old ‘use what is sitting on top of your desk’ method of creating…a technique that I LOVE and helps me use up stuff that is literally sitting ‘on top of my desk’.  I had some GREAT fabric flowers cut out from a project I did for Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Edition and didn’t want them to go to waste!

Since my flower pieces were ready to go, this really was a quick card.  The base of the card is Baja Breeze and I stamped the Butterfly from the Elementary Elegance SAB set using Baja Breeze ink.  I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Hearts Adorning Accents Embossing Folder, layered a Riding Hood Red strip along the top and then one punched with the pinking hearts edge along the bottom.  I added a piece of the Pear Pizzazz Pleated ribbon then made the flower from the Twitterpated Fabric, a Baja Breeze 1″ Circle and a red button from the Subtles Button collection.  The button is attached using Baker’s Twine and then the flowers added using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting using Riding Hood Red ink to finish it off!
