Cross My Heart

Jan Thurs Create 014Oh…we have started the Create with Connie and Mary Spring Edition 2013 and this first week has been sooooo much fun!  The design team is must AMAZING and the projects incredible!  It’s not too late to subscribe!  Just click the link to right and get started right away!

But for today it is the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge and we have a create color challenge for you – Raspberry Ripple, Pretty in Pink and Lucky Limeade!  For my card I used two of the new sets 0f Hearts a Flutter (oh what a GREAT set) and Cross My Heart – a quirky little word set.

The base of the card is Raspberry Ripple.  I then added a Paper Doily to the base.  Next I took a strip of Lucky Limeade and put just the one end through Hearts a Flutter Framelit and added to the card front.  I stamped the striped banner twice in Luck Limeade and cut out and added behind the heart stamped in Raspberry Ripple on Pretty in Pink and cut out with the framelit.  I did the solid heart in Raspberry Ribbon.  I did the outline of the crosswords in Basic Black, the letters in Raspberry Ripple and the heart in Pretty in Pink, cut this out and added using dimensionals.  I finished it up by added some Basic Rhinestones to the strip and the heart.

Set(s): Hearts a Flutter, Cross My Heart
Paper: Whisper White, Raspberry Ripple, Pretty in Pink, Lucky Limeade
Ink: Basic Black, Raspberry Ripple, Lucky Limeade, Pretty in Pink
Other: Paper Doily, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

  1. Nice card Mary! I love how you created the strip with the framelit – what a great idea!
And I’m patiently waiting on my paper doilies to arrive – I didn’t think I wanted them until I started seeing all the ideas and samples – now I’m anxious to use them.

  2. Love it! So simple, but with the doily behind it…looks like you spent all day making it. Great sample with this set! And, I love how you extended the banners…great idea!
