Button Buddies

I will have to say that I struggled a bit with this.  Since it is March my first thought was to go with that whole ‘St. Patty’s Day’ idea.  That’s green right?  So it should work just fine.  Well…so that is how things started…as a St. Patty’s Day card.  I guess you can see that I sort of took a bit of a turn when I actually sat down to make it.  And I’m glad…I think it turned out cute!

This is one of those ‘odd sized’ card.  The finished size is 6 x 3…but it doesn’t really look like that.  The finished size of the card base is 4 3/4 x 3 (so 4 3/4 x 6 folded) in Lucky Limeade.  Next I added a piece of striped Lucky Limeade dsp.  I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the Happy Belated Birthday in Lucky Limeade.  I stamped the snail 3 times using Early Espresso.  I cut the ends into a banner on each side.  I added an Old Olive button to each snail using the Lucky Limeade/Whisper White Baker’s Twine.  I took a piece of Early Espresso and used the scallop trim die along the bottom, added to the bottom of the banner and added to the card front using dimensionals to finish it.

I have to say…I REALLY like the look of this little card…SOOOOOO cute!
