Bootiful Occasions

I love the look of ovals on a card and we sooooo need something to cut oval!  But while I’m waiting for that to happen the Apothecary Accents framelit will do fine for giving me my oval fix when I need it.  And oh these boots…sooooooo cute!  I love that with the new stamp pads the ink stays wet just a little longer so you can emboss with it.  I like doing the embossed look on the rain boot!

The base of the card is So Saffron.  I took the fun print from Summer Smooches and added to the card front.  I think took a Island Indigo print strip and added that.  I stamped the boot image using Island Indigo and embossed using Clear Embossing Powder then color with Daffodil Delight.  I cut out with the largest Apothecary Accents framelits then did the tulip strip using the framelit and added to it.  I made a ‘bow’ (<a href=”http://stampercamper.com/cardpost/making_bows”>click here for my tutorial</a>) using Daffodil Delight Seam Binding and a navy brad.  This is added to the card front using dimensionals.  Looking at it again, I think adding some piercing would be a nice touch…just didn’t think of this when I made it!  LOL!!!
