Happy Monday! Boy…I could have used a couple more days to my weekend… that would have been sooo nice! I have been busy working on projects for the upcoming sessions of Create with Connie and Mary Winter Collection 2013. I did get my Preview Project done and can’t wait to share it with you NEXT MONDAY!!! So make sure you come back then!
But THIS Monday I have another card for Mary Jo’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. This one WAS a challenge and I had to think and think and think. Finally I turned the sketch on it’s side and it worked out just right!
The base of the card is Raspberry Ripple. I took a piece of Crumb Cake and stamped the Birthday Cake in Crumb Cake, then I stamped the greeting using Bermuda Bay and Raspberry Ripple. I took a piece of the the balloon print and cut into 1/2″ strips, cut them into banners then added to the card front. I layered this on a piece of Very Vanilla, tied a piece of Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon around it the added to the card front using dimensionals. Finally I added a couple of Basic Rhinestones to add just a little bling to it.
As you can see I did sort of follow this sketch if you look at it sideways! I think that’s the best part about doing sketch challenges…it gives you a place to start! We’d love to have you play along!
