Okay…if you’ve been with SU for a long time now, you probably remember Stella Stamper.  She was a fun stamp set for the Stamper in all of us!  (Okay…have her…will NOT sell her!)  This week on Create with Connie and Julie this is one of the stamp sets we are featuring.  Read more about this card and get a link to see more…

Okay…this card started with my friend Julie (of Create with Connie and Julie) saying that she did a Tote-ally Tess card in pink and brown that she was going to post on Monday in honor of us posting Tote-ally Tess stuff on Create this week.  I thought that sounded like a good idea so I sat down Saturday night and decided to make a card too.  I thought pink and brown was a good idea so I decided to use the pink and brown too.  Then Connie (also of Create with Connie and Julie) said she was going to play too…but do a ‘Tote-ally’ different twist on hers (you DON’T want to miss it!). So this is what I did…

Okay…I stamped Tess on Watercolor Paper using Stazon JetBlack.  I colored in her face and hands using a Blush Blossom marker and her hair using Chocolate Chip and an aquapainter.  I stamped her top on a pink print from the Sending Love dsp and her pants on the brown print from the same paper pack.  I then cut out and paper pieced her outfit onto the stamped image.  I stamped the little stamp on Very Vanilla, colored with Regal Rose and Close to Cocoa markers, cut out and added to the stamped image.  This is layered onto Chocolate Chip then Regal Rose.  I took a pink and brown print from this pack and layered onto Very Vanilla.  The card base is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 Pretty in Pink.  I decided to use a Chocolate Chip layer but it seemed plain.  I ran it through the Big Shot using the Polka Dotted embossing folder.  Because of the size, I had to run it through twice.  I got it to work pretty good!  I layered Tess and the pink layer onto the brown then wrapped a Vanilla 5/8” satin ribbon around it.  Next I took a piece of the ribbon and folded it into a ‘bow’ and put it between the prongs of a small Chocolate Corduroy brad to make it into a bow.  I used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole and then put the brad through the layers.  It was a little tight but it worked!  I layered this all onto the card front.

Now Tess looks like she wants the recipient to get some nice stampin’ supplies so I decided to make the inside into a quick and easy gift card holder.  I used the Scallop Trim Edge punch on a piece of Very Vanilla and layered it under a strip of the dsp (I used the same print as I used for Tess’s pants).  I attached the scallop along the top and when I attached this strip to the inside of the card, I only taped along the sides and bottom so I could add a gift card.  Now…just how perfect is that!
