Ornament Punch
Okay…so here is another cool idea but not an original AT ALL of mine. I saw where some used the ornament punch along with the Thoughts and Prayers set and just LOVED it. I don’t remember who inspired this…I changed a couple things from the original but it this is yours, let me know and I will give you credit!
I love the look of black, white, and red so that, and the night and day dsp, were the inspiration for this card. I inked the flower stamp from the Thoughts and Prayers set using Real Red and Old Olive markers and the greeting with Real Red and Basic Black markers and stamped on a piece of whisper white. Next I took a piece of the Night and Day dsp and punch using the ornament punch. Just don’t put the paper all the way into the punch so you have the flat ‘bottom’ for your ‘vase’. It needed a little more so I sponges around the punch-out vase using Basic Black ink. I adhere this to the card, tied a little bow out of red 1/4 grosgrain and attached it with a glue dot. I adhered this panel to a piece of Basic Black and then to the Real Red card base. I used my mat pack and pierced along the corners for that ‘little extra’. Simple…but elegant card!
