First…don’t forget the Control Freak Blog Hop is on the 20th!  I can hardly wait to see what the freaks have in store for us!  Okay…that said…I wanted to share another page from My Digital Studio.  Last Sunday my friend Jackie and I did a little presentation on some of the features of this GREAT software.  I did the basics and Jackie did the multimedia component.  Anyway this is one of the layouts that come with the program…I REALLY like it!  But…I’m going to make you click to the article inside to see what I did with it…oh…CUTE doggie pictures warning….

I wanted to put together a quick page showing how you can use the layout and just add some photos, a little background paper, mat a couple pictures, ‘stamp’ the heading and be good to go.  I just love this picture of Gypsy and Bandit together.  She really does have that look on her face that says ‘why me’ on her face.  And part of the reason why she has that look on her face is that the little bugger hardly ever stops moving…well, until she sits on him to stop him.  Pretty effective in the long run!  Anyway I took a piece of ‘paper’ from the Night and Day series (this was not with the original MDS program but one I downloaded in October) and put that as my base.  I ‘stamped’ my letters from the Serif alphabet in black and aligned them.  I added a mat and drop shadow on the two big pictures and that was pretty much it.  But I wanted to ‘dress it up’ some so here is a second version…

Isn’t this fun?  I just LOVE the colors in the Hoppy Memories Simply Scrappin’ Kit and used the papers from that for this is.  I like how you can not only put is down as your whole base but also add layers to your project with the paper.  I also wanted to add a couple ‘stamped’ images from the Man’s Best Friend set…I thought the little dog looked a little like Bandit.  Again…very quick and easy but a totally different look on this one.  The best part…you can keep trying different things without wasting any of your paper!  Now that I LOVE!!!!  I didn’t do anything with embellishments on this page because I really wanted the pictures to be the focus and I think that worked.

Well…it’s a busy week ahead but I am going to try to get some of my projects I’ve been doing up so everyone to see (before the hop!).  I feel like it’s been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to stamp.  Friday is my annual gift card holder class…always a favorite of mine!  If you are living around here, hope you are enjoying the Indian Summer!  I just LOVE when we get this every year…the weather is just SOOOO nice…aaaah….but we know it won’t last!  So….as always…until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
