Hearts of Many Colors
Over on SCS on Saturdays they post an inspiration challenge. They show an item or send you to a website and then you find something that inspires you. I was in the mood for an inspiration challenge so I decided it might be fun to play along. Check inside for a link to my inspiration item and more information on my card…
Okay…first for the link…Lark Handmade. I saw this bag and thought it was a really unique color combo so I decided to use that. For some reason the bag came across as simple, even though there is alot of color on there so I wanted to go with a simple card. I thought the colors on the bag reminded me of Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Green Galore, Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip. The base of the card is Whisper White and I decided to run it through the Polka Dotted embossing Folder. To get all my colors in there I thought little hearts would be nice. I used the new small heart punch and did one of each color. I mounted them on a piece of Whisper White which I layered onto Bashful Blue and then tied a Real Red 5/8” Grosgrain ribbon. I layered this onto the card front using dimensionals. I thought this would make a nice fun anniversary card! I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes using Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and punched out using the word window punch. I layered this on a Green Galore Modern Label punch. I layered this onto the card front using dimensionals. I thought it needed just a little more color so I added two small hearts (one Pretty in Pink and one Bashful Blue) from the 3 heart punch.
So that’s my very little inspiration card from the bag. I thought it turned out fun! Happy Stampin’!
