I just love doing series!  I just go this set and wanted to do something with it and you all get to see what I did pairing Friends 24-7 with Bella Birds dsp.  I made a total of 6 cards so stay tuned as I share these with you over the next week or so (HINT…I tend to post every other day!)

Okay…so you all know that our wonderful DSP is ‘on sale’ this month.  Bella Birds is one of those paper that the catalog just doesn’t do it justice.  In real life…it is so soft and pretty!  The main colors in the paper is So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, Bordering Blue and Close to Cocoa.  Now, out of all the images in the set, I probably like the bird the least…it’s okay, but I think I like the other images better.  Now in this series that I am sharing with you, all the cards are 3 x 6 and fit into the small open ended envelopes (which I also decorated with the dsp just to ‘class’ them up a bit).

For this card, I started with a so saffron card base.  I first stamped the flower image in bordering blue, then stamp the bird in Basic Brown.  Next I colored the bird using bordering blue, so saffron, creamy caramel (for the branch) and just a little certainly celery for the leaves.  Here for You is stamped onto a piece of the dsp using basic brown and punch out with the 1 1/4” circle punch and then layered onto a 1 3/8” bordering blue circle.  I tied a knot in a piece of chocolate taffeta ribbon and attached over the corner.  Otherwise just added some dsp.  So..pretty easy card overall.
