Today and tomorrow I’m going to share matching cards that I did as make and takes at my workshops recently.  The two cards are exactly the same except I used a different pattern from the Brides Specialty paper and the color.  Today’s card is my traditional colored one.  This is a favorite new technique using the specialty paper.  Now DON’T FORGET…Tour de Freaks starts Saturday the 20th at 8 am!

Okay…so to do this card take the absolutely FABULOUS Brides Specialty paper (in this case the striped) and brayer over using Real Red ink.  I do take a paper towel/tissue and wipe it off afterwards…it does make the foil part shine a little more.  The base of the card is Real Red.  I ran a piece of Whisper White through using the Petal a Plenty embossing folder through the Big Shot and layered that onto a piece of Old Olive.  This is adhered to the card front.  Next I attached the brayered striped piece to a piece of Old Olive and tied a piece of white satin ribbon around it then adhered to the card front.  I stamped the Joy ornament using Real Red on some Whisper white and punched it out with the ornament punch.  Add a loop of the silver elastic thread on the back and then tie around the ribbon.  I put a dimensional on the back of the ornament to hold it in place.

There you have it a REALLY simple card that looks so elegant. Come back tomorrow to see the other version of my card.  Same card…different colors and other Bride paper.  Happy Stampin’!
