Here it is time for ANOTHER Create with Connie and Julie Saturday Challenge!  Aren’t these fun?  I think so!  This time we were to do Easter cards and we could pick from Eggcoutrements, Spring Floral Wheel, Eggcellent Egg Kit (my FAV), and the chocolate bunny!  Check inside for a close-up…don’t want to miss that!  Congratulations to the winners of last week’s challenge - Becky Graham and Lori Watson!  With an honor mention to Robin Gregor!  You ladies ROCKED the challenged!

Well…it’s pretty easy to tell that I picked the Eggcellent Egg Kit for my card.  First…this is a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card.  The base is Pretty in Pink.  I then took a 4 x 4 Pretty in Pink piece to use as my next layer. When I attached this layer, I used dimensionals to a little extra!  I just couldn’t figure out what paper to use with this kit and then picked the Tea Party dsp that I haven’t used for awhile and do like how it worked with this set.  I tied a piece of So Saffron 1/2” Striped Grosgrain ribbon around this.  I used one of the rub-on borders from the kit above the ribbon.  Happy Easter is from Well Scripted.  I used the Basic Grey and Regal Rose markers to ink it and stamped on Whisper White.  It is punched out with the wide oval punch and then sponged with So Saffron.  I often have a difficult time figuring out how to layer this piece and what I found works really well is take the two larger tags from the Mini Matchbox die and layer those behind the wide oval…I think it looks really cool!  These are in Garden Green.  This is attached to the card front using dimensionals.  I made the flowers from the Pretty in Pink and So Saffron die cut flowers from the Eggcellent Egg Kit.  I sponged the edges with Regal Rose (on the Pretty in Pink) and So Saffron on the other.  In the center of each flower is one of the rhinestones from the kit.  I also used the smaller individual rhinestones of the Happy Easter greeting.

Well…that’s about it for this card…simple but I like the overall look!  Happy Stampin’
