Well here is the second sketch challenge over on Create with Connie and Julie.  This was just another WONDERFUL sketch.  This is my main card for the challenge.  When I was working on my challenge I also needed a card for my DH’s birthday and used the basic sketch for a card for him.  Check that out inside along with who won last week’s color challenge on CREATE…

And the winners are…Lisa Martz (1st place) and Robin Gregor (2nd place).  Cynthia Stevenson was our honorable mention!  Congratulations ladies!  The color challenge really was a challenge!  You all did a wonderful job!

For my sketch card the base of the card is So Saffron.  I took a piece of Pretty in Pink and layered it onto Chocolate Chip.  Next I ended a strip of striped paper and a piece of designer Old Olive both from the Sweet Pea dsp pack.  I tied a piece of Chocolate 5/8” Satin ribbon around the card front and layered onto the card base.  I layered a 1 3/4” Whisper White circle onto a Chocolate Chip scallop from the Pennant die.  I used the white gel pen to add the dots to the petals.  Next I stamped the cake image from the Happy Moments SAB set using Basic Black on Whisper White.  I colored these with the Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip markers, cut out the cake and layered onto the circle using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting from this set onto Whisper White, punched out using the 3/4” circle punch, sponged the edges using Chocolate chip and layered onto a 1” So Saffron circle sponged with Chocolate Chip.  I added this using a dimensional.

And now for Rand’s card.  Pretty much it is the same as the above only I used different prints from the Sweet Pea paper.  The base is Taken with Teal.  I stamped Happy Birthday from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto a piece of So Saffron, sponged with Chocolate Chip ink and added to the card front using Vintage Brads.  I love the colors in this card…they are so rich!  That is what I like about the Sweet pea paper pack…so many different looks from this one pack!  I like how it is the same image just two very different looks.

Thanks Connie for another very excellent sketch challenge.  This one was sooooooo much fun!
