Have you ever had one of those ideas for a card and you just HAD to make it?  Well…this was one of those.  After making that first one (oh…I forgot to mention…my friend Jo let me borrow her set to play with) I came up with this idea and it came together surprisingly quickly!

I stamped the bears on whisper white using StazOn JetBlack ink and watercolored with Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Real Red, Crushed Curry and Bashful Blue.  I punched these out with the 1 1/4” circle punch and layered onto Basic Grey 1 3/8” circles.  The girl bear is layered onto a Real Red Scallop Circle and the boy bear onto a Bashful Blue Scallop Circle.  The ‘petals’ of both scallop circles were pierced with the piercing tool. I ltook a piece of the crushed curry dsp from the Cool Kids SS kits, rounded the corners and layered it only a piece of Basic Grey (corners rounded also) and then to the Real Red card base.  I took a piece of Basic Grey and embossed the greeting using White embossing powder.  This is layered onto the card front.  I added a strip of Real Red cardstock and then tied a piece of Blue taffeta ribbon around it.  Finally I layered my two bears on top.  I was SOOO happy that this turned out how I was thinking it would!  More fun still to come with this set so stop back on Thursday to see the next one!.

Happy Stampin’!
