WOW…I haven’t used THIS set for awhile!  When I saw the sketch that Mary Jo had planned for her Monday Lunch Sketch...I just HAD to play along and for some reason this set just came to mind.  As I started to work with it, I just started cutting and couldn’t stop!  So…are you all adjusting to the HORRIBLE time change?  AAAAARRRRGHH!  Anyway…details on my card inside.

This is the sketch that Mary Jo came up with.  Isn’t it just DELIGHTFUL!  When I first saw it I immediately thought about using the Top Note die (SHHHH…don’t tell anyone but it was on the top of my desk!  LOL!!)  I wasn’t really sure what colors I wanted to use and decided on the Modern dsp and since the 5th Ave Floral set goes perfectly with it, it was my set to use.  The base of the card is Bermuda Bay.  The top note is cut from some of the Soft Suede pattern from this pack.  The Sahara print is also from this pack.  I layered this onto the top note and tied a piece of Bermuda Bay polka dotted ribbon around it before adhering to the card front.  Next I stamped the flower 3 times on each of the Bermuda Bay, Taken with Teal and Sahara Sand cardstock.  When I cut each flower I cut less petal so that I had tree separate layers, each with fewer petals.  I sponged around the edges of all the petals.  They are attached in the center of the image and dimensionals are used to pop up the petals.  I colored in the center of each flower with my Soft Suede marker.  These are attached onto the Whisper White piece (sponged with Soft Suede).  I stamped the birthday greeting on Whisper White using Soft Suede ink, punched with the large oval punch, sponged with Sahara Sand.  This is layered onto a Taken with Teal Scallop oval punch (sponged with Soft Suede).

Boy…it sure was fun to do some stamping today.  Sorry for so few posts this week…I had one of those weeks where I was REALLY busy with workshops…fun!  It was an EXTREMELY busy week and a HUGE thanks to my hostesses for having me in their homes!  It’s hard to believe that SAB is almost over!  Anyway…tomorrow (Monday) starts finals week at my school.  I will be SOOO happy to have that done and looking forward to a couple days off before starting all over again!

So…until next time…happy stampin’!
