WOOO HOOO!!!  It’s Freaky Blog Hop time!  The BEST time of the month when the freaks ink up their stamps and share their creations!  Oh…don’t we love it!  If you are going forward in the hop you have arrived here from my friend Connie Babbert of Inkspired Treasures.  DELIGHTFUL projects!  (hehehehe we seemed to be on a bit of the same wavelength!)  Please note…if you are stopping before the 20th…all the posts might not be up and linked yet as we ‘go live’ on the 20th!

Now before I get started on my projects I have a little confession to make.  I’ve been really busy between stuff at school (having to make sure everything was done BEFORE heading into this coming week where I potentially have jury duty for 2 weeks) and getting ready for my open house just this Thursday (the 18th).  I like to show off LOTS of new stuff so I decided to combine my blog hop projects with showing off the cool new dies in the main catalog!

So since I was featuring some of the new dies I thought I’d do up one of the Blossom Boxes.  In the words of Wendy…“fussy little bugger!”...oh but soooo worth it once you figure how the heck to fold this puppy up!  LOL!!!  I decided to use one of the sheets of paper from the Spice Cake dsp.  Once I got the box done I decided to wrap a Soft Suede ‘belly band’ around it to use as the closure.  Now ANOTHER thing I was showing off at my Open House was the NEW SIMPLY SCORED!!!  I LOVE the medallions and my friend Jo was demoing that during my open house and showing folks just how easy they are to make.  I made one out of a Pool Party print from that pack (whew…say that one fast a few times), added a Very Vanilla blossom from the Boho Blossom Punch and then a Lucky Limeade Designer Printed Brad to hold it all together.  Once done added this to a Pear Pizzazz 2 3/8” Scallop Circle and then to the belly band to finish it off.  So that featured lots of nice ‘stuff’ at my Open House.

Now next up on things I wanted to show at my Open House was the Petite Pocket die.  I realized that after cutting 2 piece of the dsp in 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and I had the perfect size strip left over to make the Petite Pocket from the same paper…cool, huh?  So I did up the pocket with the paper and then ran a piece of Pear Pizzazz through just to get the envelope flap.  Next I ran that piece through the Stripe Embossing Folder and added to the envelope flap and tied a piece of the Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon around it.  Instead of using the circles as a closure (and because I had it laying on the top of my desk - my favorite way to design projects!) I did the medium flower from the Boho Blossom punch in Soft Suede and the smallest one in More Mustard, curled up and added a Pool Party Printed Brad (yep, those were laying on the top of desk too!) to the center.  I added this to the enveloped and the top flap just tucks right underneath.

I don’t know about you but I LOVE having gift card holders so that is what I made this into.  When you open the flap you just pull up on the piece of Pool Party cardstock and the gift card is attached to that.  I decided to use a birthday theme (can’t have enough birthday stuff on hand!) so I inked the greeting from Petite Pairs (my very favorite new word set from the main catalog) using Soft Suede and More Mustard markers, stamper on Very Vanilla, punch with Large Oval Punch, layered on Pear Pizzazz Scallop Oval, layered on Soft Suede Circle label and then added to the Pocket front.  So…again LOTS of NEW stuff to show off at my Open House.  Folks did like them!

So I decided I needed to finish off my ‘ensemble’ for the hop today and wanted to add a matching card.  The base of the card is Pear Pizzazz.  I took another piece of the same print, layered onto Soft Suede.  I took a piece of the NEW Soft Suede 1 1/4” Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, tied a piece of the Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon on it, wrapped around the panel and then added the panel to the card base using dimensionals.  I took a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the greeting like I did for the Pocket Gift Card holder, layered onto Soft Suede and then added some 3/4” More Mustard circles behind it.  This is added to the card base using dimensionals.  Next I stamped the largest leaf in Pear Pizzazz/Soft Suede, the smaller leaf using Pool Party/Soft Suede and the acorn using More Mustard/Soft Suede.  This are cut out (of course because I LOVE to cut things out!) and added to the card front with dimensionals.

So there is a little Fall ensemble for you!  I LOVE this set in the mini and the matching paper!  The color combo is just DELIGHTFUL and PERFECT as a non-traditional fall combo.

Now it is time to head over to freak Deb Currier!  She has such GREAT projects for you.  Click on the picture below to take you there!
