Today on SCS is the Saturday Inspiration challenge.  I do check this out every week and every now and then find something that inspires me.  My, oh my…the site they gave today was absolutely FILLED with inspiration.  This is my 2nd post for today so if you are visiting for the 1st time today, make sure you check out my CCMC card below!

I picked a table that featured a lollipop tree (check out page 16…that’s where the lollipop tree is).  The tree looked like it was Sahara Sand with chocolate leaves and Melon Mambo lollipops so this is what I used as my inspiration.  I then was over on Taylor’s site to see her sketch from yesterday and put the two together!

The base of the card is Melon Mambo (5 1/4 x 5 1/4).  I took a piece of Whisper White and Layered it on Chocolate Chip and then pierced around the card.  Next I added a polka dotted layer from the Thoroughly Modern dsp and added a Chocolate 5/8” grosgrain ribbon across it.  This whole layer is then added to the card base.  I stamped a Whisper White circle with the tree trunk in Sahara Sand, the leaves in Chocolate Chip and then added 1/2” Melon Mambo circles using dimensionals.  This is layered onto a Chocolate Chip Circle and then a Melon Mambo Scallop Circle.  I made a ‘bow’ by folding a piece of Melon Mambo Ribbon and ‘tying’ it with a Chocolate Chip Corduroy button.  This is fixed through all the circle layers and added to the card front using dimensionals.  Finally I inked enjoy using Chocolate Chip and Melon Mambo marker, stamped on Sahara Sand and added to card front with a double layer of dimensionals in the middle.

What a fun card this turn out to be!  I think this would really brighten anyone’s day.

We like to have lots of fun so we have challenges and prizes for our subscribers. Our sites stay up long after the session is done, so you will always have access to the site and the tutorials.
