Punched Posies 3

WOOO HOOO!!! Today I got to go and play with Beate! We have been trying to do this for awhile and FINALLY got it together! I thought it would be fun to do the colourQ challenge (because I do so like that challenge) so saved doing a card for that until today. Well…a funny thing happened with this challenge…
Beate thought it would be fun if we do the Ways to Use It challenge on SCS today when we got together. Well…I checked SCS to see what the challenge was before I left and it wasn’t posted yet and didn’t think anything more about it. I did have an idea for the cQc challenge so I pulled my stuff for that. Beate and I got together early (around 9:30 am) and started playing. I had her make a fabric flower and then we started in on the cQc challenge. I started working out the idea I had and finished it. We went out to lunch and Marco’s Paper (yes, I live close to Marco’s) and came home. We then looked to see what the Ways to Use It challenge was and laughed when it was heat embossing! Is that too funny or what. So Beate photographed my card and posted it for me on SCS and then finished up her card. (I’ll link to it once she posts too.)
Okay as you can see mine is one of the SUPER SIMPLE cards with ALOT of WHITE!!! The cQc had 4 colors…Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss and Bordering Blue (along with white). The card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 whisper white that I ran through the Polka Dotted Embossing Folder. I cut a 1 3/4” square in each of the colors stamped the little flower in the coordinating color and then stamped the loopy flower in white and embossed with white embossing powder. I punched the opposite corners using the corner rounder. The Kiwi square has the greeting stamped on it and I tied a bow using white embroidery floss on the itty bitty heart button and attached it using a glue dot. Each square is layered onto the card front using dimensionals. Yep…that’s the whole card!
What a FUN day today! Beate and I will HAVE to get together again before the summer is over! Thanks for having me over Beate!
Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

It’s a good thing Thursday is my day off at the bank because if I had looked out the window (yes, I work across the street from Marco’s) and seen the two of you going into Marco’s while I was stuck at work, it would have killed me. Sounds like you had a lot of fun, and I can see you were very creative…as usual.
