Out on a Limb
WOW we have come to the end of week 1 on Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition 2011 and it is time for the weekly challenge for our subscribers! Although only subscribers (and it’s not too late to join!) can join in the fun, the design team likes to show off the projects we have made for this challenge.
This week we have a great sketch challenge. Since one of the sets that we used this past week for our projects has been Out on a Limb (and the Pick Your Poison dsp), I thought I’d use that for my card. I just LOVED the way this one turned out! The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Peach Parfait. Next I added a grey print from the Pick Your Poison pack. I took a peach print, layered onto Basic Black then over the grey strip. I cut a slit in the top of the card so I could add the Basic Grey 5/8” Satin Ribbon. Next I punch out a 1 3/4” circle from a piece of cardstock, took the piece with the hole (not the punched out piece), and used it as a mask to make the moon. I sponged Peach Parfait, Pumpkin Pie and Tangerine Tango into the opening to make my moon on the Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped the branch and then the bats using Basic Black (toooooo cute!). I inked the Happy Halloween (just the words not the pumpkin) from the Delightful Dozen set using Basic Black and stamped on this piece. This is layered onto a piece of Pumpkin Pie then onto the larger scallop from the Scallop Square Duo die using dimensionals. This is added to the card front using dimensionals to finish the card off!
Isn’t this cute…I think it’s the bats…I just LOVE those little bats!
