Good morning everyone! This is my 2nd post for today.  Make sure you check out my Technostamper Lunchtime Sketch Challenge too!  Since it is Monday it is not only Technostamper Lunchtime Sketch Challenge but it is also the Clean and Simple Challenge over on SCS.  Boy…I’m going to miss being able to do all these challenges once I go back to school…that is coming up quickly!  So on to my card…

The clean and simple challenge on SCS is to use Kraft (Crumb Cake), Turquoise and white.  Now I thought that would be a pretty easy challenge to do and couldn’t wait to try it.  For some reason this sketch popped into my head.  It is from the Clean and Simple Stamping site (love their simple sketches!).  So with the sketch and colors I was ready to play.

The base of the card is Crumb Cake and I rounded the corners.  I took a piece of Whisper White, rounded the corners and added a strip of Tempting Turquoise dsp (from the Pawsitively Prints 2 pack).  I used the Scallop Edge Trim punch on one side and rounded the corner on the other.  I tied a piece of White Taffeta Ribbon around it.  This is attached to the card front using dimensionals.  Nest I stamped the cup and the greeting using basic black and colored in the cup using the Crumb Cake and Tempting Turquoise markers.  I stamped the teapot on a separate piece, colored with the markers, cut out and layered using dimensionals.  And yes, I used an exacto/craft knife to cut inside the handles.  Since I wanted to keep this truly clean and simple today…that is all there is to my card.  I can think of many other things I can do to ‘dress it up’ but you know what…it is perfect okay they way it is!

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
