WOW…the color combo on colorQ this week requires the use of sunglasses!  At first I wasn’t going to play along…I mean…I think I’ve used my Glorious Green stamp pad ONLY ONCE…but then the color challenge came with a sketch challenge and a ‘play with your friend’ challenge…so I just HAD to play along and have my friend Connie play too!

First…here are the color and sketch challenges…

I not only used the colorQ picture for the colors but somewhat of an inspiration too.  The base of my card is Whisper White and I stamped some Glorious Green and Green Galore leaves in the upper right and lower left corners.  I took a Whisper White top note dies and cut it long ways (because I needed it a little wider) and ran it through the Lattice Embossing Folder.  I wrapped a piece of Crushed Curry polka dotted ribbon around it and layered to the card front using dimensionals.  Next I took a Whisper White panel, layered it onto Tangerine Tango and then the card front using dimenstionals.  I stamped the tree trunk using Close to Cocoa (lots of retiring colors in this piece) then added some Glorious Green leaves, cut it our and attached to the panel.  Next was stamping some Green Galore leaves, cutting them out and added to the tree.  Finally I punch out Crushed Currey and Tangerine Tango flower using my Three Flower punch (gonna miss that one!), added green galore brads to the center of each flower and attached to the tree using glue dots.  I stamped the greeting on a piece of Green Galore, cut it out, added a double stack of dimenstionals to the center and glue dots on each side.

So what do you think?  Definitely need sunglasses for this one!  Now you need to go check out my friend Connie’s post to see what see did with it.

Tomorrow Connie and I will be starting a Thursday challenge on Create with Connie and Mary!  Every Thursday stop by to see what challenge we have in store for you.

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
