Altered Notebook
Back in July I had a downline meeting (hi everyone!) at my house. With the new catalog being out, there was just so much fun stuff to share. Not everyone could make it but we all had a fun evening together! One of the things we did was made my Aviary Set from the July Tour de Freaks blog hop. Then the other thing we did was make an altered notebook.
Now the front of the notebook was different depending on the initial. I forgot to take a picture of what mine looked like before I started altering it but this gives you an idea of what it basically looked like before I got started. I had pulled out paper and dies (and my big alphabet set) and everyone could do what they wanted on theirs. I like when I can incorporate the original design into my final one and that is what I did.
I started by adding a ‘ribbon’ using Early Espresso and my ribbon punch. Next I made up my flowers using the Blossom Party Die and So Saffron, More Mustard and Early Espresso cardstock. I sponged around the edges of the largest flower using More Mustard ink. I added one of the new Vintage Brads to the center of each flower to finish it off. To do my initial, I took a piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. This is layered onto Garden Green and then the notebook front. I next layered on both flowers and finished off my notebook by adding my initial in Early Espresso.
This really was a fast but fun project and everyone had their own personalized notebook at the end!
Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
